The tuatara were common around the world 200 million years ago before the dinosaurs. Now the Tuatara are native to New zealand and are living fossils. These living fossils eat juicy snails, slithery worms and cold blooded lizards. They  wait till night to catch prey. these creatures sit motionless and wait for their prey to come close by. It uses its tongue to seize small prey and its jaws to snatch up larger prey. Nate
